How to Manage Stress
Millennial women in the workplace are more stressed than guys, according to a Women’s Health survey. And WebMD Health states, “the most popular stress reduction programs for women include the ability to work from home, meditation sessions or classes, and a pet-friendly workplace. Men are more likely to want recreational events.”
Here are five techniques that can help remove some of the angst in our life and support your weight-loss strategy.
1. Learn to say "No."
Can you just say “no” to others? We need to please our boss, meet family responsibilities, and give time to relationships. But sometimes we take on too much. Downsizing the demands of others can reduce stress and keep us from getting overwhelmed. Learn to say “no” more often.
And for sure, say “no” to refined, sugary and processed carbs. When you switch over to whole foods like whole grains, beans, peas, lentils, veggies, fruit and lean protein, you will have taken a quantum leap toward healthier weight and wellness habits for life.
