Diabetic-Friendly Shake Recipe: Salted Caramel

1 portion contains approximately: 237 calories - 29 g protein - 4.8 g fat - 17 g carbohydrates - 1.3 g fiber

Ingredients (for 1 person)

  • 8 Tbsp Almased
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp caramel extract
  • pinch salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp natural sweetener like stevia or monk fruit (optional)

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a shaker cup, starting with liquids first then powder. Shake for 20-30 seconds or until well mixed. 

Prep Time: 1 minute

Shake Time: 30 seconds

So many of us love the taste of caramel, which is why we created this delicious salted caramel recipe. Simply, add one teaspoon of caramel extract to your daily Almased shake and you'll have yourself a delicious healthy version of a salted caramel shake. 

Tip: Caramel extract is often found in the baking aisle of grocery stores. In our experience, it's easier to find online. We like to keep a 2 oz bottle in our pantry for the days we crave caramel.
