What Does the Science Say About Almased?

Researchers at The University of Alberta in Edmonton conducted a comprehensive study on Almased, the low-glycemic high-protein (LGHP) diet. With the help a metabolism room, (the gold standard for measuring how the metabolism, a fat-burning mechanism, works), scientists were able to measure under which circumstances the metabolism sped up or slowed down when calorie-burning increased or decreased, and how the body handled fat and carbohydrates. 

The exciting results, (presented at the 2018 European Congress of Obesity in Vienna), revealed that the LGHP diet significantly increased the basal metabolic rate (the energy needed at rest) compared to a healthy standard diet. The difference was equivalent to 30 minutes of exercise on a treadmill. Furthermore, the results occurred the very first day; the bodies began using fat instead of food carbohydrates much earlier. This tells us that, contrary to conventional belief, we do not have to starve and suffer in order for the body to finally start burning fat.

The results of this breakthrough study were confirmed by two more studies: a study conducted at the University of Freiburg in Germany and a multi-center study conducted in USA, Germany, England, India, and Switzerland. Researchers discovered that the LGHP Diet significantly increases the fat-burning hormone adiponectin, and not only does the LGHP diet burn more fat than other diets, but it also supports healthy blood sugar levels and appetite-regulating hormones like ghrelin and leptin.

HERE ARE QUICK-START INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FIRST TWO PHASES OF THE FIGURE PLAN:

Starting phase: Drink the Almased weight loss shake three times daily for three days or up to 14 days. This phase is highly recommended to achieve a definite metabolic boost. Most people fast for three days and feel confident to continue up to 14 days. Between meals, drink up to four 8-oz cups of homemade vegetable broth or low-sodium veggie juice. Also, drink plenty of water (64 oz per day).

Reduction phase: Drink the Almased weight loss shake twice daily and eat one regular healthy meal until desired body weight is achieved. For the one regular meal, eat plenty of veggies with a side of lean protein (such as fish or chicken) and allow yourself to a small portion of whole grains (brown rice, or whole wheat bread or pasta). Continue to drink vegetable broth or low-sodium veggie juice as desired, and of course, plenty of water daily.
