Hi,
I am on my 3rd week of the weight loss portion.  I eat a large salad with dinner, add flaxmeal to my drink and I have plenty of veggieswith dinner.  Plus I drink V-8 during the day.  BUT, I am so constipated.  Help!

      Since when have you been constipated? Also, it can be normal that you don't go as often to the bathroom since you are not eating as much solid food, however, you shouldn't feel bloated and constipated.
      How much liquid do you consume per day? I suggest at least 8-10 cups of water, tea etc. per day in addition to the Almased shakes.
      How much flaxseeds do you add to your shake? I recommend 2 tablespoons per shake.
      If all this doesn't help (in addition to eating plenty of vegetables and whole grains for starches), then you can drink a glass of prune juice with a big glass of water afterwards. This should help.

        Yes, I am.  Silke checked this and said I was certainly taking enough.  I'm ready to stop the program if this doesn't change.

          Try the prune juice. Almased itself doesn't contain a lot of fiber, so if you are replacing 2 or more meals per day, you should incorporate additional fiber to your diet.
          I usually suggest ground flaxseeds, chia seeds or psyllium husk before taking Metamucil or Benefiber.
           
          Also, try to be as physicially active as possible even if it's just walking.

            If drinking plenty of water and exercise isnt helping to get the bowel moving (since you have already stated that you are eating your veggies etc)  Try miralax, at walmart.  I am a chronic constipation patient (IBS) and miralax works great without any nasty feelings.  Its commonly prescribed by doctors. Its a powder and I put it in orange juice.
