Raw celery and carrots

Raw celery and carrots Wednesday, March 14, 2012 8:04 PM (permalink)
Can I have raw celery and carrots in-between shakes.  I have 2 shakes per day - breakfast and lunch and a regular dinner.  I drink low sodium V-8 mixed with water during the day as well as H2o.  Can I have either an apple or pear for dessert after dinner.

    Yes, you can have snacks in between the shakes, e.g. celery and carrots.
    You may also have some fruit. However, keep in mind that when adding fruit to your diet it may interfere with the weight loss process. This can vary from person to person, so just give it a try and see how your weight loss process comes along. If you seem to be having a harder time losing weight, I'd suggest cutting down on the fruit and increasing the amount of veggies in your diet.
    Other good snack options are a handful of nuts (walnuts, almonds, pistaccios), yogurt (plain or Greek e.g.) or even 1/2 shake of Almased.
