YUMMY SHAKE RECIPE Friday, March 09, 2012 2:56 PM (permalink)
I blend my Alamsed with 2 tsp of flaxseed oil and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It helps if the milk is cold. Tastes just like a bad for you shake!
I also like it with coconut water. It goes down faster with the coconut water.
 
Today is my third day of fasting. Getting ready to eat real food tomorrow. So excited. The Alamsed recipes look delicious and I can have PASTA, BREAD, POTATOES (in moderation of course) and FRUIT!
 
I did medifast in the past and lost 25 lbs but gained them all back. That diet was too restrictive! I am loving Alamsed so far. I lost 1 pound my first day. I haven't been near a scale so I can't tell you how much I've lost so far.
 
Today has been hard. The first two days weren't. It is easy to stick to when you keep in mind that you want to and NEED to lose weight.

      I lost 6 pounds after 3 days of fasting. However, I am currently off plan until after St. Patrick's Day. I was very happy with the results and I was never hungry.
       
      Can't wait to get back on plan!

        I went back on Almased on 3/26/2012 at 170 pounds. Today on 3/29/2012 I am down to 163 pounds! I am about to have my lunch of lean steak, mushroom, onions and two wheat rolls.
         
         I am so happy with my weight loss so far and hope to continue the plan until I reach my goal weighy of 135 pounds.

        For those who are reading, I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk for my shakes. From a chain in Texas called Central Market. It's about $2.50 for a half gallon and I go through a lot of it. But I am saving money on not going out to eat.

            I'm using Almased in conjunction with Weight Watchers Online. Just starting the Almased. Wasn't crazy about the taste alone so I found that if you add 4 splenda, 1 tsp imitation vanilla extract and a few dashes of cinnamon you can make the drink kinda taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I use to love that cereal but after becoming diabetic that was a no no. This comes really close. 6 TBS Almased (I'm 5'2) 4 Splenda Packets 1 TSP Imitation Vanilla Extract Few dashes of Cinnamon I also like it without Cinnamon.

                Hi Mickie: I am getting ready to do the Almased Challenge on June 1st.  You sound about where I'm at. I think I'm starting at my highest weight of all at 170. I don't want to get on the scale anymore. I'm miserable. I did the two weeks jumpstart Figure plan and just used water. I did not know at the time I could use anything but water.  I lost about eight pounds. I was on my way. Then when I did the two shakes and one sensible meal, I went back to my old ways. I am so mad at myself. I'm gong to have a clean start. Silke is really helpful. She always got back to me.  I want to get on the bandwagon again.  I would like it if you could e-mail me directly but not sure how to do that.  But for now, I want to follow your progress. I am 5'6" and I want to get back down into the 130s also. We sound like we have the same goals.   So if you e-mail, I guess I have to be on this site.  It would be good if we could support each other.  I have another friend who wants to start the program and I'm waiting to see if she's serious. She needs to lose 75 pounds. She's a doll and really would like to get back to her old self and I'm hoping she decides to go for it.
