Hello, I started Almased on Wednesday and have noticed a drastic change in the way my clothes fit, and my energy level but have been getting these nauseating headaches daily. Is anyone else having this issue? I have incorporated oil and vitamins in my diet. I started on the 3 shakes a day and love it! Just hate those annoying headaches, kind of feel like a detox type of headache. Please advise. Candace

Hello Candace44, How have your headaches been? Headaches can occur on a liquid diet due to the radicals your body builds up. That's why the vegetable broth/juice is so important. It provides your body with antioxidants. In addition, make sure to drink plenty of liquids (at least 8-10 cups per day), such as water or unsweetened tea. Vitamin C and magnesium may also help alleviating headache pain. Silke

Hello and thanks for the response. My headaches got so bad I stopped for 4 days. I just started back on Saturday and only had a mild headache so far. I think I started out cold turkey and shocked my body into wondering "WHAT HAPPENED". As of today, I am feeling better, not doing the fast as I wanted to but okay. I am taking 2 shakes and eating dinner. I noticed some of the posts were about fruits, I am addicted to watermelon and I really really want some. When I have those sweet tooth cravings, would it be ok for me to have some? Also, I did slip up today and eat some M&M's....I am an emotional eater and today I got so fed up at work, that I found myself in front of the vending machine. Won't happen again. Final, is it a big plus that I exercise? I really don't have the time...I do walk some at work from office to office within 3 floors but I mean work out....is walking enough? Thanks for listening.

Hello Candace44, It looks like the 2nd phase is a better fit for you. You may add some watermelon but if you experience that your weight loss is slower, I suggest reducing the fruit and eating more veggies. That way, you still get all the nutrients but less carbs. Don't worry too much about the M&Ms. Continue with the diet as nothing has happened. It might be helpful to have some healthier snacks in your office in case you feel overwhelmed again, e.g. nuts, veggies, yogurt or even 1/2 shake of Almased. Exercise is very important not only for weight loss but overall wellness. Whatever you can do would be great, even if it is walking from one office to the next but try to step it up some and try to make time to exercise. Your body will thank you for it and it will get easier from time to time Silke
