Consistency and Capsules

Kind of a strange question maybe, but I am struggling with the consistency of Almased. No matter how long I blend it, it has a gritty texture. And I admit I am a bit of a drama queen when it comes to drinking things that are gritty, lumpy, etc. I am mixing it with just water as I really would rather not have to add a lot to it during the fasting phase. My question is, if I have a little less powder put into the shakes, is there anything wrong with putting the extra powder in capsules and taking it that way? I have empty gel capsules and it just sort of dawned on me that I may be able to get a little more in every day that way.

Hello dorkasmaximus, It may take you a few shakes to get used to the consistency of Almased but usually after the first few, it tastes a lot better if you are having problems at first. You can split up the amount if you think you can drink it better when less powder is in the liquid. However, I do not recommend taking it in a capsule. Almased should be mixed into cold liquids so that the enzymes can be activated. You may split up the amount of Almased and then just have 2 shakes rather than 1. As long as you consume the total amount of Almased per day, it will be fine that way. You can also increase the amount of liquid so that it is smoother. Make sure to add oils to the shake or other flavors, such as cinnamon or vanilla extract. This may mask the taste/texture and you may be able to tolerate it better. Silke
