Supplements?

Hello! I am 33 yrs old and have about 65 pounds to lose. I started Almased this Wednesday passed with the three day fast. Now I am eating a healthy lunch and taking two shakes a day. I am not taking any supplements or vitamins. Should I be? I also eliminated the olive oil in the shakes after I started eating one meal a day. I figure I was getting the oil in that meal? I feel great and have lost about six pounds so far. Any advice would be great!

Hello Amandanism, Congratulations on your weight loss success thus far You don't necessarily have to take any supplements if you are not deficient in a particular one or have a higher need due to specific circumstances. As long as you eat a well balanced meal (protein source, lots of veggies & whole grains) and have the 2 Almased shakes, you should be fine. You should have about 2-3 Tbsp of healthy oils per day, such as olive, flaxseed, walnut oil. If you are using those oils for preparing your regular meal than you don't need to add the oil to the shake but if you are not getting enough for that 1 meal, you may still add some to the Almased shakes.
