I don't like sweets - help!

I have never been one for sweets, so is there a way to make the shakes a little "saltier"? I have pondered using the broth, or carrot juice with a splish of liquid aminos, but I don't want to make something disgusting and put myself off the powder completely. I am drinking about 4 cups of vegetable broth a day, because I crave the salty warmth. It's very comforting for me. Yesterday was my first day on it and I did super until I had to make supper for the rest of my family. I was very bad and had a little bit of what they ate. I lost a pound anyway, so it motivated me to do better today. If I can lose a pound after cheating, what will happen if I behave? :-) I currently use Silk coconut milk (original flavor), vanilla or almond extract, always cinnamon, and have tried pure cocoa powder. I would really like some more options for mixing the powder. The way I've been mixing is isn't awful, it just isn't something I enjoy. I suppose I could better endure it if I used vanilla or chocolate almond/coconut milk and did the first phase for five days instead of three (to compensate). Even though I don't like sweets, the vanilla coconut milk is quite tasty. I appreciate any ideas. I am open to most anything, as I like seaweeds, all vegetables, etc. Also, is Miso soup acceptable? I don't hate the vegetable broth, but I ADORE miso soup (miso paste, dashi, wakame seaweed, sometimes ginger). Miso is made from fermented soy beans, so I wonder if it's a possibility.

Hello Oolongmom, There are a lot of different ways to mix Almased. You can be creative with the flavors! I encourage you to check out our Fasting Figure Plan for more Almased recipes: http://www.almased.com/fi...0Fasting_low%20res.pdf Starting on page 20 you can see different salty variations, such as Almased Asian Style, Almased with Veggie Juice, with cucumber, earthy variation (with mushrooms), nutty variation etc. You can drink miso soup on the liquid diet but I still would like you to drink plenty of vegetable broth (up to 32 oz per day). The veggie broth is important for antioxidants that you are getting from the vegetables. You can prolong the first phase (liquid phase) for up to 14 days at a time if you feel fine on it. Silke
