Success feels good Monday, June 18, 2012 8:35 PM (permalink)
Hello everyone.  I'm T and today was the start of week 5. I've lost 13lbs, lost inches (waist, thighs, love handles) and my abdomen does have that bloated look anymore.  I have only been using the bottled (Deer Park)water to make my shakes with Flaxseeds.  I still have cravings for sweets or salty crunchy items at times. When I do crave or get hungry, I will snack on garlic roasted melba toast, light mozzerella string cheese, walnuts/almonds or low sodium V8.  For my sweet fix, I may cheat with no sugar added candy,  a granola thin or I have my dinner shake with water, 1 splenda, vanilla extract and 1 tsp of orange no sugar metamucil with some crushed ice.  It reminds me of the orange/vanilla popsicles. I try to minimize my sugar intake as much as possible, but sometimes I lose the battle.  When I do cheat, I keep on the next day or meal as if nothing has ever happened. We have to forgive ourselves for slipping.  I try to exercise at least 3x per week (curves, walk at home dvds or walking).  I am very pleased with my progress and how the product makes me feel. I seem to be more alert and regular.  I've noticed my skin changing, so I drink 2 herbal/green tea (decaf) daily and try to get my 8 cups of water to help flush out the toxins.   I am in phase 2 (reduction phase) until I lose about 40 more lbs.  My doctor told me that I was prediabetic and have high blood pressure.  I refuse to take a bunch of pills for the rest of my life, so I AM PUTTING IN HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE!!!! I look forward to my 1 meal a day and make sure to get something I really like. I don't believe in starving myself so when i'm hungry I eat, but I'm very mindful of consequences. I went on vacation in May. I took the almased with me to have before bed. Upon my return I did not gain an ounce and I had eaten badly most days.  I'll keep you posted.  Best success to everyone out there who struggle with weight. Almased can help us reach our goals but we must stand strong, be patient and do our part as much as possible.
