Is it recommended or ok to make my own fresh juice as opposed to thee broth or V8? Also, besides all the water to mix the shakes, tea, coffee, etc., how much water should we be consuming in ADDITION each day? It seems like a lot of water. Should we be aiming for a certain calorie count each day or no? I made my own broth but don't care for it...how many ounces can we have of V8 in a day if we forego the broth?

Hi Julia3322 It is recommended to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day other than the liquid that you'll be consuming with the shakes. The veggie broth and water will help meet the recommended daily liquid intake. We recommend drinking 4 cups of veggie broth or juice daily. Veggie broth can be made homemade which will have the least amount of calories as well as sodium. Of course, you can opt to drink 100% low sodium vegetable juice as an alternative. Keep in mind that 100% vegetable juice will be higher in calories compared to veggie broth. We recommend to aim to eat 500 calories less daily from your current intake. That will help promote a 1-2 pound weight loss per week. This can be achieved by following our Figure Plan. Consuming Almased only or Almased plus a meal of your choice along with veggie broth, oil, and flaxseeds will be around 1000 - 1200 calories. During the reduction phase, the one regular meal is recommended to be around 300-500 calories. I hope this helps! Let me know I have need to clarify further. - Jamie
