Question for the moderators

I have a question regarding the amount of Almased that is recommended to take per shake. My mom used Almased in the late 90's and early 2000's. She had enormous success with the product and it is what inspired me to start using it. After being on the product for nearly 3 weeks with great results, my mom decided to order the product again and begin using it. She was stunned to see that we are to use 8 tablespoons per shake. When she was on the product previously, the dosage amount was much less. She said that in the Turbo Protein Diet Book their was a special calculator you used to based on your ideal weight. The calculator would then tell you how much product you were to consume per day. Based on those calculations, my mom used 24 teaspoons of Almased per day during her 2 week fast. She still even has her little teaspoon from Almased. 24 teaspoons a day is a lot less than 24 tablespoons a day which is recommended now. I did the 2 week fast using the recommended 8 tablespoons a shake (based on my height, I'm 5'7"). I had good results, 11 pounds lost and 19 inches. Could you please clarify on why their has been such a change. We are rather intrigued by the change and would love to know why. My mom is very hesitant to use 8 tablespoons a shake based on her previous experience (she is 5'8"). We love Almased and want to use the product in the most beneficial way. Thank you!
