New to Almased and already a fan

I started the program with 3 Almased shakes a day, then switched to 2 a day plus one meal on day 11. After 2 weeks I have already lost 10 lbs. I feel great and my clothes fit so much better. I plan to continue until I reach my goal weight. I don't use 8 Tablespoons per shake; I only use 6 because of my height and I believe that amount works well for me. Here are my "newbie" tips: 1. I make my shakes with unsweetend almond milk, cinnamon, sugar-free syrup or stevia, and sometimes a teaspoon of cocoa powder, instant coffee, or vanilla flavoring. I add the Almased, some crushed ice, and give it a run in my blender. It tastes fine - I actually like the taste and the texture is good when made this way. 2. When I eat a "regular" meal, I try to make it as nutritious as possible and keep it under 500 calories. 3. I do get a little hungry in-between meals - but honestly, this is true for me regardless of how I am eating or dieting, no big deal!! Tell yourself this is just your usual hunger pattern and wait until your next shake. If you simply can't wait, warm a cup of milk, add a tablespoon or 2 of Almased plus a non-sugar sweetener, and have this to tide you over. I know the heat sort of defeats the benefits of the powder, but it will fill you up and comfort you without a lot of calories. I love the ease of using Almased. No planning, no portion watching....and I know that I am giving my body everything it needs to stay healthy and lose weight at the same time. I am looking forward to meeting my goal weight - hopefully in the next 8 weeks.

Hello daisysmom, Thank you for your tips If you keep the milk lukewarm you will still get the benefits from Almased. You can also try it in cold milk, it should also tie you over. Sometimes we mistake the feeling of "hunger" as thirst. You could try to drink a big glass of water or unsweetened tea and see if that helps. Also, if you eat a regular meal you can have snacks, e.g. handful of nuts, veggies, low fat yogurt or 1/2 shake of Almased. Keep us posted on how you are doing! Silke
