New to Almased..Day 3

New to Almased..Day 3 Wednesday, December 21, 2011 6:54 PM (permalink)
Hello! I am on my 3rd day of Almased and I am a little hungry but making it! I typically dont drink the broth because its not very appealing but I have been drinking the shakes as directed. Is the beginning phase 3 days or longer? I see that some have chosen to stay on it for 2 weeks. I cant say that Ive notices any changes yet but I just started paying attention. I like the shakes with water but Im not sure how much longer past 3 days I can tolerate without at least veggies or fruit.

    Welcome to the Almased forum!
     
    The vegetable broth or vegetable juice (100%) are essential during the fasting period because it provides you with antioxidants that your body needs. Have you tried veggie broth? What about 100% vegetable juice?
     
    You can also discontinue with the fasting period and continue with the 2nd phase (eating one regular meal and having 2 Almased shakes). Especially if you are craving solid food and aren't doing too well on the liquid diet, you may want to go to the next phase. Some customer do the fast for up to 14 days but others may just do it for a few days. This is up to you. However, if you decide to continue with the liquid diet, please consume vegetable broth or juice in addition to the shakes.

      Hi Silke
      I could not do the broth. The last time that I tried V8 it made me vommit. I need another alternative. So far I have been losing though.

        Have you tried making the veggie broth yourself? It tastes very different from V8 vegetable juice.
