Question about non-alcoholic wine and vitamin water

Hello, I am on day 5 of my Almased fast and I plan on doing the full 14 days. I did the 14 day fast 8 months ago and went from 148 lbs down to 138 in 2 weeks and never gained the weight back even though I didn't adhere to a strict diet (I ate generally healthy during the week but would eat pretty unhealthy on the weekends [burgers, bread, pizza, eggs & hashbrowns, etc] and consume alcohol). I started to work out and went down to 134 lbs and decided to do the Almased fast again. I am 5'7" and so far I have lost 4.8lbs in 4 days so I am now 129.2 lbs which is very exciting. My goal weight is 125 lbs, although I would love to be 120 lbs if it is possible! I did have a couple questions about what is allowed to be consumed during the fast. Right now I am just mixing 7 tbsp of Almased with water and adding cinnamon. I have vegetable broth and decaf green tea throughout the day too but I was addicted to energy drinks before this and I crave that juicy/sweet taste. Would I be able to drink the Activate vitamin waters during this fast? They are 5 calories, 0 sugar, and sweetened with stevia. Also, every Monday night we have "Girls Night" at my house which involves drinking wine and watching our favorite tv shows (gossip girl and 90210, lol). If I drank non-alcoholic wine tonight, would it affect my weightloss? What about non-alcoholic beer? I appreciate any help I can get! Thank you, Stephanie Moreau

Hello Stephanie, Congratulations on your weight loss success! I would encourage you to consider continuing with the 2nd phase (Almased twice per day and eating one regular meal) once you stop with the fast after 14 days. That way you can get to your ideal weight if you haven't reached it after 14 days and the likelihood of keeping the weight off will be even higher because Almased can "work" on your body longer. Also, the 2nd phase isn't as drastic as the liquid diet, so you can stay on it for longer. How tall are you? If you are 5'6" and above, I would suggest using 8 Tbsp of Almased per shake. you can drink the Activate vitamin water during the day. If you a couple of non-alcoholic beverages on one day during the week that is ok :-) Silke

Thank you for the advice Silke! I finished the fast and lost 8.8 lbs and 2" off my waist. I am now 5'7" and 125 lbs which is the weight I was when I graduated high school 7 years ago. I couldn't be happier! This is the second time I have done this fast this year and as a result I have lost 20 lbs in total. Almased really is the best way to loose weight because it is quick, easy, healthy and actually keeps the weight off. Thank you for this amazing product and program :)
