You will get lots of support from other Almased users.

You shouldn't have any problems using Almased with fibromyalgia and thyroid issues.
You have to consider several facts when taking thyroid hormones simultaneously with Almased.
Theoretically, consumption of soy products may lead to inhibition of thyroid hormone absorption. So far, we haven't seen any correlation with thyroid medication and Almased if the medication was taken as prescribed (mornings on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before breakfast).
I suggest to schedule an exam of the thyroid or thyroid hormone levels with your doctor before and about 6-8 weeks into the diet. Another possibility is to take the thyroid medication at night after consultation with your doctor.
We can say that other mechanisms such as supporting healthy insulin levels, satiety regulation, and complete preservation of muscle mass, are important effects of the Almased diet. These benefits can be utilized independently of the effect on the thyroid or thyroid hormones in order to stay healthy and to lose weight permanently.

Im so excited and cant wait to get started. I am definately in need of some firm support. Have promised that if this doesnt work for me that I will never try anything else. Am a newly diagnosed fibromyalgia patient and just had thyroid destroyed about a year and a half ago. Needless to say it has taken a toll on me. For those of you who have already begun your journey HOORAY I hope mine goes as well..
